Lowenstein Sandler represented Ezra AI, an AI company that provides early-stage cancer detection through advanced imaging technology, in its sale to Function Health, a personal health platform that pioneered accessible annual lab testing. The acquisition combines Function’s extensive lab testing foundation with Ezra’s FDA-cleared AI-powered imaging, supporting a shared mission to revolutionize healthcare through technology.

Function’s acquisition of Ezra has enabled the company to announce a Full Body MRI with an FDA-cleared AI that cuts scan time from 60 minutes to 22 minutes and price from $1,500 to $499. This first-of-its-kind MRI makes healthcare and early disease detection more accessible and brings Function closer to creating a dataset that allows AI to potentially identify health issues before they occur.

The Lowenstein team included Eric Weiner, Meredith Beuchaw, Ed Zimmerman, Adam Dickson, Sara Uz, Dylan Blanchard, Henry M. Xu, Eric Sands, Brian A. Silikovitz, Chelsea Wong, Darren Goodman, and Jessica I. Kriegsfeld.
