A New Jersey federal judge rules in favor of Lowenstein Sandler client LexisNexis in the denial of class certification for a proposed Fair Credit Reporting Act suit brought against the company, finding that the vast majority of would-be class members did not suffer any injury and did not have standing to assert a claim.  

As reported by Bloomberg Law and Law.com, the plaintiffs alleged that security freezes implemented by LexisNexis put on their account after the plaintiffs requested the removal of personal information from LexisNexis databases prevented some from obtaining insurance and other services. They then moved for certification of a class consisting of over 18,000 New Jersey police officers and other public officials, which Judge Harvey Bartle III denied.
