Rasmeet practices in the areas of litigation and dispute resolution. She works on client teams that advise on complex commercial litigation and white collar defense and that conduct internal investigations. Rasmeet is involved in drafting memoranda and briefs, conducting discovery, and supporting critical investigative endeavors.
During law school, Rasmeet was a member of the Human Trafficking Clinic, where she assisted victims of human trafficking with a variety of legal needs, including immigration applications and expungements of criminal records. In addition, Rasmeet worked for the Civil-Criminal Litigation Clinic, where she represented indigent clients in court in landlord-tenant and misdemeanor cases.
Rasmeet served as executive editor of the Michigan Journal of Gender and Law. She was president of the Michigan Law ACLU Chapter and culture chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. Rasmeet also worked as a summer associate at Lowenstein Sandler.
Prior to joining the firm, Rasmeet held an internship at the ACLU Program on Freedom of Religion and Belief in Washington, D.C.
She is fluent in Punjabi.
