The American Lawyer has included Lowenstein Sandler’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring Department in its list of the top five law firms for retentions by Unsecured Creditors’ Committees (UCC) in 2025.

Last year, the firm was retained to represent the UCC in the following Chapter 11 proceedings:

  • TPI Composites, Inc., a global company that manufactures and sells composite wind blades and related precision molding and assembly systems to original equipment manufacturers, filed a voluntary petition for Chapter 11 protection with 21 affiliated debtors in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
  • Work ‘N Gear, a retail chain with 35 stores in 11 states that offers work wear apparel and footwear for use in service, industrial, and healthcare environments, filed for voluntary Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
  • Desktop Metal, Inc., a technology company that designs and markets 3D printing systems, and 15 affiliated debtors filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas
  • IG Design Group Americas, a design, manufacturing, and distribution company of gift packaging, greeting cards, stationery, creative play products, and seasonal décor, and its domestic affiliates filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
  • Boundless Broadband, a digital infrastructure consulting, design-build, and maintenance firm that specializes in fiber and wireless networks, and its affiliates filed voluntary petitions in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
  • CHG Holdings LLC dba Planta Group, the owner of a chain of plant-based restaurants with locations in the United States and Canada, filed for Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
  • Royal Paper LLC, a manufacturer and national supplier of high-quality paper products including bath tissue, paper towels, facial tissue, and napkins, and several affiliates filed for Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
  • Diamond Comic Distributors Inc., a leading distributor of comics, graphic novels, toys, games, as well as other pop culture products related to merchandisers across the world, and several affiliates filed for Chapter 11 protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland.
