Lowenstein Sandler announces that Jeremy M. King has joined the firm as partner in its Insurance Recovery Group. He will be based in the firm’s New York office.

King has broad experience litigating complicated multiparty insurance claims for policyholders across a wide range of industries. He frequently secures high value victories and settlements through negotiations, trials, appeals, and arbitrations on matters involving bad faith handling of claims, business interruption, directors’ and officers’ liabilities, natural disasters, cyber events, products liability claims, qui tam and False Claims Act issues, and representation and warranty claims.

King also maintains a robust general commercial litigation practice, representing clients in cases involving securities-related liabilities, commercial lease and construction-related claims, fraud, partnership disputes, loan-related claims, general contracts, and indemnification matters. In addition, he frequently advises clients on issues pertaining to corporate governance, risk management and avoidance, indemnity, and liability allocation, as well as insurance and indemnity issues arising in the context of corporate transactions, such as risk allocation for false representations and warranties.

King says, “I am excited to work with Lynda A. Bennett and the entire Lowenstein Insurance Recovery team, who are renowned nationwide for their sophisticated practice at the upper echelon of policyholder advocacy.” He adds: “I am also looking forward to contributing to the team’s robust thought leadership campaigns and appearing on their podcast, 'Don’t Take No for an Answer,' which I have been enjoying since it launched!”

Bennett, partner and Chair of Lowenstein’s Insurance Recovery Group, says: “Our clients must increasingly go to court to enforce their rightful claims against recalcitrant insurance companies. Joining forces with a powerhouse litigator like Jeremy, who has recovered millions of dollars for corporations across the country, greatly enhances our ability to vigorously represent the interests of policyholders.”

King is the latest in a strategic series of lateral additions to Lowenstein’s partnership. In the last nine months, the firm has welcomed  Jonathan E. Algor and Shontae D. Gray to its White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations & Integrity practices; Sara R. Werner and Ryne Miller to the Investment Management Group; Armando Castro and Leia K. Galasso to the Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) group; Daniel L. Forman to the Capital Markets & Securities practice; and Matthew R. Friedenberg, Parimal Garg, and Michael T.G.
