To keep you up to date, Andrew M. Reidy, Joseph M. Saka, and Courtney E. Alvarez of our Insurance Recovery group present a series of 30-minute webinars designed to inform you about current trends and emerging issues in insurance coverage. Our goal is to summarize and simplify some relevant topics to help you make sure your company is maximizing its insurance asset and limiting uninsured risks and exposures.

In our June 23 session, we will explore:

  • Coverage for Ransomware Attacks: 2021 was expected to be the year of the ransomware attacks, and it certainly has lived up to those expectations. We will discuss the insurance coverage available for ransomware attacks and key provisions you will need to maximize your insurance coverage.
  • Biometric Privacy Laws: Several states, including Virginia, have recently adopted, or are in the process of enacting, biometric privacy laws. We will discuss the coverage available for claims alleging violations of these laws, and explore recent insurance decisions out of Illinois, which enacted such a law in 2008.
  • New Cases and Developments: A number of significant court decisions have been issued in the second quarter of this year. We will discuss some of the most important ones.
