International Financial Law Review (IFLR), the leading financial law publication for lawyers in financial institutions, corporations, and private practice, has named Lowenstein Sandler to its Americas Awards 2020 short list of nominees for M&A Deal of the Year.
The firm was recognized for its role in the Indorama Ventures, DAK Americas, and Far Eastern New Century / M&G Chemicals US PET Plants deal, in which it represented longtime client, Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (BKK:IVL), a global chemicals producer based in Bangkok, Thailand, in a joint venture to acquire a PTA-PET production facility in Corpus Christi, Texas, from M&G Chemicals for a purchase price and capital contributions totaling approximately $1.125 billion.
The Lowenstein team included included Nicholas San Filippo IV, Sam E. Khan, Nicholas G. Mehler, Stuart S. Yusem, Philip J. Gross, Eileen Overbaugh, and Mitchell McDonald.
Lowenstein Sandler has represented Indorama Ventures since 2003, advising the company as lead counsel on the acquisition of a total of 16 facilities across the globe.
IFLR’s Americas Awards 2020 showcase the most legally innovative cross-border transactions that closed in 2019. During its research process, IFLR considered transactions structured in jurisdictions from Canada to Chile and everywhere in between.
