Lowenstein Sandler is proud to be the Title Sponsor of Syracuse University College of Law’s Alumni Weekend 2021. Partner Michael Kaplan, Class of 2011, will toast award recipients during the Syracuse Law Honors Award Ceremony and Reunion Party, and present the CLE program “Virtually Litigating: Pros and Cons of Litigation Practices Developed During COVID-19.”

The way we practice law turned on a dime last year as the world adapted to a remote working environment. Litigators in particular faced new challenges as in-person interactions with clients, adversaries, judges, and juries moved to Zoom. Now, many claim virtual depositions, mediations, court hearings, and trials are here to stay. But at what expense? This presentation will discuss the pros and cons of litigation technology and practices developed during the Coronavirus pandemic. Specific topics will include how costs have changed, how the virtual environmental impacts advocacy, and what gets lost when cases proceed outside of a courtroom.

Time: 10:30-11:30 a.m. ET

*Please Note: This is both in-person and live-streamed.
