PLI’s Basics of Accounting for Lawyers 2022 is a two-day program which will review the common accounting concepts emerging in legal work and what lawyers should consider when encountering them. Legal and accounting professionals will lead attendees through practical segment discussions, taking an in-depth look at the elements of varying financial statements and what they really reveal about the entity overall. Unique to this program is the analysis of how legal ethics and accounting professional rules of conduct intersect, providing an interesting discussion for professionals in both the legal industry and accounting.

On this panel, Matthew Boxer, partner and chair of the firm's Corporate Investigations & Integrity Practice, will address using financial statement notes to better understand financial statements, identifying policies or transactions of interest, enhancing assessment of company performance and financial condition, and what to look for during due diligence.
