Panelists will explain what technology companies and investors need to know about how the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) interacts with export controls and economic sanctions and how this may impact your purchase or sale transaction to a non-U.S. party. Participants will walk away with an understanding of when a CFIUS filing is required, be able to identify the consequences of not filing with the CFIUS, and lastly, understand what actions can be done to mitigate CFIUS concerns.

Course Objective: To provide an understanding of CFIUS and what companies need to know to reduce trade and foreign investment risks in 2021.
