Transaction Manager, Mortgage & Structured Finance

As a Mortgage & Structured Finance Transaction Manager, Brian is responsible for all aspects of deal management, including negotiating operative documents, due diligence, and managing client relationships.

Brian supports the Mortgage & Structured Finance attorneys by managing a wide array of transactions, including excess spread trades, mortgage servicing rights trades, lending and warehouse facilities, securitizations, whole loan purchases and sales, trust collapses, and agency, jumbo, non-QM, and reverse mortgage originations and purchase conduits. He also works on formation documents for the creation of corporate entities, as well as ancillary transaction documents and opinions; and he participates in repurchase litigation and investor claims.

Brian has extensive experience negotiating underlying transactional documents such as private placement memorandums, mortgage loan purchase and sale agreements, servicing agreements, custodial agreements, term sheets, engagement letters, repurchase agreements and pooling and servicing agreements. He also advises clients on the due diligence process (corporate, credit, compliance and valuation), as well as on custodial and vendor projects.

Prior to joining Lowenstein Sandler, LLP, Brian worked at several leading financial institutions, hedge funds, and mortgage services institutions, including Lehman Brothers, One William Street Capital Management, CIT Group, PHH Mortgage and LoanCare, often with a focus on contract finance, transaction management, business development, residential mortgage trading, securitization transactions, and residential mortgage acquisitions and sale transactions.

Brian holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Delaware.
