As Director of Inclusion at Lowenstein, Amanda Prescott weaves inclusive values into the fabric of the firm’s culture and business strategy. She collaborates closely with the firm’s leadership, members of the Inclusion Committee, Practice Group Leaders, and business professionals to streamline diverse perspectives through a holistic and equity-focused lens. Her cross-departmental work drives strategic and transformative design from concepts to implementations.

Amanda has a decade of experience as a litigator and recently transitioned into Inclusion and Professional development at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. There, she helped guide attorney growth and retention through equitable, data-informed processes. Her work consistently reflects a deep commitment to building systems that close equity gaps while supporting the people within them—balancing structure with empathy and accountability with care.

Amanda is an active contributor to DEI development in the legal industry. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University at Albany, State University of New York and her J.D. from CUNY School of Law in 2008 and 2012, respectively. Continuing her dedication to education, she completed diversity and inclusion certificate programs at Cornell University and Stanford University in 2022. Her commitment to inclusive strategizing is reflected in her affiliation with the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), the Professional Development Consortium (PDC), and the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals (ALFDP)—for which she has spoken on national panels as an industry expert regarding the intersection of professional development with diversity, equity and inclusion strategies.

Amanda’s work is grounded in the belief that inclusion is both a responsibility and an opportunity: a pathway to stronger teams, better decisions, and a more vibrant, forward-thinking legal community.
