Min has experience in counseling clients from a wide range of industries, from startups to established companies, on tax matters at the federal, state, local, and international level. She regularly assists on transactional matters, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and fund formation. Min also analyzes complex tax issues arising in various contexts, from intellectual property licensing and sale to U.S. tax compliance and reporting involving foreign individuals and businesses.
In addition, Min handles matters involving employment tax, withholding tax, sales and use tax, and bulk sales issues. She also reviews partnership operating agreements and fund formation documents for tax issues.
Min focuses her pro bono practice on advising tax-exempt organizations. She provides legal counsel pertaining to formation, tax-exemption application, corporate governance, operational compliance, and issues relating to unrelated business income tax and other excise penalty taxes.
Prior to joining the firm, Min served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Vito L. Bianco of the Tax Court of New Jersey. During law school, she represented low-income taxpayers through the Federal Tax Law Clinic in disputes with the IRS, including audits, appeals, and collection matters.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Min worked as a tax accountant for a New York-based accounting firm, where she helped clients navigate complex federal, state, and international tax issues and comply with various tax reporting requirements.
