Alexander Corson counsels policyholder clients on a wide range of insurance issues, including coverage analysis, claim disputes with insurers, and policy placement and renewal. He has experience evaluating coverage under policies insuring a variety of first-party and third-party risks, including general liability, directors and officers (D&O) liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, representations and warranties insurance, commercial property insurance, and business interruption insurance, among others.

Alex has represented policyholders in a number of high-stakes insurance coverage disputes. He has litigated insurance issues before federal and state courts and an international arbitration tribunal. Alex has successfully negotiated the settlement of multiple claims with insurance companies that initially denied coverage. He has also vindicated the rights of policyholder clients through motion practice, resulting in multiple millions of dollars in insurance recovery.

Alex is also proud to have handled several pro bono matters, including court-requested briefing on novel constitutional issues in connection with a petition for habeas corpus, the successful dismissal of a criminal matter in New Jersey state court, and the representation of multiple transgender individuals seeking court approval for a legal name change.
