Akash Balaggan advises a range of funds on their structuring, formation, and operation.
He drafts fund documents, including partnership agreements, private placement memoranda, subscription agreements, transfer agreements, and side letters; coordinates entity formation and regulatory filings; and handles fund closings and post-closing fund expansions.
Akash also counsels investment management clients on the development and implementation of compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable regulatory regimes.
While in law school, Akash worked full time, including at Credit Suisse Securities in the Litigation and Investigations department, where he managed federal regulatory and agency inquiries from DOJ, SEC, FINRA, IRS, CFTC, and NFA.
He speaks Hindi and Punjabi.
