Lowenstein Sandler has announced today that Michael D. Saarinen has joined its Investment Management Group as a partner in its New York office. Saarinen, who is the Co-chair of Lowenstein’s Fund Formation & Structuring Group, is a recognized leader in the investment management community, with over two decades of experience representing U.S. and global fund sponsors in a wide range of fund offerings and products, including traditional private equity funds, growth equity funds, venture funds, hedge funds, and a variety of customized and bespoke investment arrangements, including single-investor funds, co-investment funds, joint ventures, and other investment vehicles.
Saarinen was formerly a partner in Shearman & Sterling’s investment funds practice, and he is the latest of leading investment management lawyers to join Lowenstein, following the September additions of Jonathan A. Danziger and Kevin S. Zadourian.
Robert G. Minion, Chair of Lowenstein’s Investment Management Group, says: “Michael is a fantastic addition to our Investment Management practice. He is widely recognized in the private funds and investment management communities as a true thought leader, and he is an extremely talented practitioner. He is a wonderful complement to our industry-leading funds practice.”

Moss, Co-chair of Lowenstein’s Investment Management Group and Chair of Lowenstein’s Fund Regulatory & Compliance practice, says: “Michael’s experience and perspective add even further breadth and depth to our funds practices, and we are excited for him to be a part of our continued growth.”
