This session will cover the scope and limits of a government investigation of a data breach. After completing this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify what conduct might give rise to a data breach investigation
 - Distinguish the conduct that is of concern to an agency
 - Understand what the scope of an investigation might be
 - Recognize what the agency might demand and what the agency might do with what is produced
 - Address “new” technologies such as artificial intelligence, generative AI, and messaging apps
