Mark Heinzelmann, Allison Gabala, and Zachary Berliner will present the “Environmental Justice 2021 Year in Review: Recent State and Federal Initiatives, Developments, and Impacts” session at the Chemical Council of New Jersey’s 36th Annual Conference.
Environmental justice is a stated priority for both New Jersey and the federal government. Over the course of 2021 and into 2022, we expect legislators, regulators, and their constituents to prompt environmental justice to be further integrated into state and federal laws, rules, and agency operating standards. This session will summarize recent (2021) and upcoming (2022) environmental justice initiatives and developments, both at the New Jersey and federal levels, and highlight their actual and expected impacts on the industry’s interfacing with environmental regulatory programs and the professionals operating within.
