William K. Lee’s practice focuses on mortgage and structured finance transactions, with an emphasis on warehouse facilities, mortgage servicing rights (MSR) financings, securitizations, and mortgage loan trading. He also has extensive experience in the single-family rental homes (SFR) space, having represented numerous borrowers and lenders on bespoke warehouse facilities and rated securitizations.

William counsels startups, REITs, specialty finance companies, alternative asset managers, servicers, non-bank lenders, funds, and investment banks in launching and scaling financing platforms— from early-stage facilities to multibillion-dollar programs.

In his previous role at an AmLaw 50 firm in both New York and in California, William represented start-ups, funds and alternative asset managers as borrowers, and investment banks as lenders on financings ranging from $50 million - $1 billion. He also gained experience in early buyouts, fix-and-flip, and non-QM securitizations as both sponsor’s and issuer’s counsel.

A past recipient of the Asian-American Bar Association of New York’s “Member of the Year” award, William speaks regularly at industry events and has recruited thousands of volunteers to provide pro bono relief and combat anti-Asian violence.
