Tolu counsels emerging companies in the technology sector throughout their entire life cycle, from formation and financing through exits. He also has experience working with venture capital investors on fund formations and financial transactions.
Prior to receiving his J.D., Tolu was Team Lead in Compliance, Innovation, and Strategy for Dedalus Global in Washington, DC. where he provided market-entry strategy and business intelligence to technology companies in emerging markets, with focus on fintech. His role included the formation and development of strategic partnerships with brand-name VC firms and fintech companies to sponsor and develop the growth of Africa fintech ecosystem.
Tolu also worked as a legal analyst at the National Immigrant Advocacy Project, where he supported attorneys in responses to requests from state, local and federal government agencies and from advocates and attorneys across country; and developed training materials to assist courts and judges in matters involving unaccompanied minors, immigrant crime victims, and immigrant women and children.
