Counsel
Scott focuses his practice on advising investment managers and alternative investment funds in connection with structuring, formation, corporate and regulatory compliance, and day-to-day operations.
His experience includes drafting fund formation documents for domestic and international private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds, digital asset and crypto funds, funds-of-one, and managed account arrangements for emerging and institutional managers.
Scott also advises clients with respect to LP document review, compliance policies and procedures, the review of marketing collateral, and a broad range of domestic and international regulatory matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Scott worked as part of the in-house legal and compliance team at a leading alternative investment fund manager focused on structured credit and asset-based investments. As part of that legal team, he negotiated over-the-counter derivatives agreements and private whole loan securitization vehicles, term securitization offerings, bespoke repurchase agreements, and credit facilities for illiquid asset-backed securities and commercial real estate loans.
