Wale counsels clients on prosecution strategy for domestic and foreign patent applications in a wide range of sciences, including computer software and hardware; electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical devices; robotics; medical devices; artificial intelligence; imaging; RF and microwave; and consumer products.
Prior to his legal career, Wale was a quality assurance engineer and systems analyst for such companies as Vonage, Traveler’s Insurance, and Pfizer, where he developed standard operating procedures and good working practice documents in the vaccine research group to ensure compliance with FDA rules and regulations. He also became a certified patent agent.
While in law school, Wale interned at the Tech Startup Clinic in New York, where he drafted service and nondisclosure agreements, conducted trademark searches for potential mark conflicts, and assisted clients in business entity formation. He externed with in-house counsel at a medical supply company, where he drafted credit agreements and SEC documents. Wale also externed at a multinational luxury fashion holding company, where he assisted in investigations and litigation concerning the sale of counterfeit goods and diverted merchandise by preparing cease-and-desist notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the Lanham Act, and other statutes.
