Katherine Ferrara (“Kate”) represents clients in complex commercial disputes, white collar criminal defense, appeals, and investigations.

Kate joins Lowenstein following clerkships with the Hon. Robert Kirsch of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the Hon. Karin J. Immergut of the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.

Upon graduating from the University of Virginia School of Law, she worked at an AmLaw 50 firm where she was a litigation associate and participated in a part-time pro bono rotation representing tenants facing eviction.

While pursuing her J.D., Kate served as a Law Student Prosecutor with the Henrico County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Virginia, prosecuting felony and misdemeanor offenses. She also assisted in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland’s Criminal Division. In addition, she volunteered for four years with the Innocence Project.
