Batool counsels public and private companies, as well as their executives, on issues pertaining to benefits and executive compensation.
Her practice focuses on plan design and compliance for tax-qualified plans, welfare plans, and deferred compensation plans, including equity and other incentive compensation plans, often in the context of restructurings, spinoffs, initial public offerings, and other corporate transactions.
Batool also has extensive experience in the design, drafting, and negotiation of executive compensation arrangements, such as employment, equity, change in control, and separation agreements, as well as contracts involving intellectual property, secondment, restrictive covenants, expatriate, and international assignments.
With an emphasis on problem-solving in lieu of litigation, Batool advises on disputes arising from transactions and other employment matters. When necessary, she drafts demand letters and cease and desist communications, and appears in arbitrations and trial motions.
