Audrey Ogurchak prepares and prosecutes patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office in a wide range of hardware and software technologies, including virtualization, content sharing/management platforms, smartphones, semi-conductors, non-volatile memory devices, robotics, and machine learning.

A chemical engineer with a master’s degree in computer science, Audrey also advises clients on their patent and trademark strategies for foreign markets. She is experienced in filing procedures under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and has worked with companies seeking to expand into the European Union, China, Japan, Taiwan, India, and elsewhere. Audrey counsels clients on which applications are permissible, in which countries they may require protection, and how to protect discrete aspects of their products in order to expand their portfolios.

Audrey has performed pro bono work in the areas of immigration and criminal justice. She leads the Palo Alto chapter of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) and is active in peer-to-peer mentoring. She also works closely with the firm’s summer associate program and helped to create the firm’s training manual for new associates interested in patent law.
