Lowenstein Sandler is pleased to announce that Ted Randolph is returning to the firm as partner in its Investment Management group.  Randolph previously practiced with the firm from 2014-2017.

Randolph advises funds, their sponsors, and their advisers on the formation and structuring of private funds, and the legal, compliance, and operational matters related to their management and investment activities. He focuses on the formation of U.S. and international hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity funds, and venture capital funds. In addition to fund formation, Randolph counsels on compliance with SEC and state regulations, marketing and advertising restrictions, and day-to-day operational and compliance issues.

“It is always gratifying when a former colleague chooses to return to work with us,” says Gary M. Wingens, Chair and Managing Partner of the firm. “We welcome Ted’s wide-ranging experience counseling large institutional managers with complex structures, as well as new managers starting their own operations and launching their first investment funds.”

“My time at Lowenstein was a highlight in my career, and I am thrilled to return,” says Randolph. “The Investment Management group is a well-known leader in the formation and representation of new and established funds, and the firm’s culture of innovation and collaboration across practice groups makes it an exciting and fulfilling place to practice.”

In addition to his former role as counsel at Lowenstein, Randolph’s previous experience also includes serving as Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel at HSBC Securities Services, counsel in the Investment Funds group at Shearman & Sterling, and partner at the law firm of Wiggin and Dana LLP.

Randolph received his J.D from Harvard Law School and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University.  He is admitted to practice in New York (as Kenneth V. Randolph III) and in Connecticut.
