Lowenstein Sandler has been named for the fourth consecutive year as one of Crain’s Best Places to Work in New York City. The Crain’s list is an annual ranking of 100 employers that demonstrate a “commitment to creating a supportive, collegial, and empowering workplace.” Of the organizations listed, Lowenstein is one of only eight law firms included.

“Consistent recognition by Crain’s New York Business as a Best Place to Work over the past four years confirms that we are maintaining our culture while continuing to grow,” says Gary M. Wingens, Lowenstein’s Chair and Managing Partner. “Even in this competitive market, Lowenstein’s entrepreneurial spirit, robust diversity, and commitment to excellence continue to attract top talent across our practice groups.”

“As our New York personnel begin to spend time in the office again, we remain mindful of the lessons we learned last year, and we are committed to maintaining the policies and benefits that helped get us through the pandemic,” says Lowenstein Chief Human Resources Officer Donatella Verrico. “We continuously strive to live up to our listing as one of Crain’s Best Places to Work in New York City by implementing and expanding such important initiatives as expanded wellness programs and diversity outreach, support for parents with school-age children, and a hybrid approach to working from home, while reinforcing the training, mentoring and development of our people.”

Crain's works with the Best Companies Group, an independent research company that has been managing employee engagement surveys since 2004, to conduct the research and provide a final ranked list. The rankings are based on a calculation that involves the weighting of an employee survey (75 percent) and employer questionnaire (25 percent). The ranked companies represent a range of industries, including consulting, engineering, finance, law, and technology.

The numerical rankings for each group will be announced at a virtual event on September 23 and published in the September 27 issue of Crain’s New York Business.
