Minion, partner and Chair of Lowenstein's Investment Management & Private Funds Group, says: “Brendan and Nathan bring a great combination of in-house and law firm experience that aligns perfectly with the needs of today’s asset managers. Brendan has spent much of his career leading the legal, regulatory, and compliance functions at some of the industry’s most sophisticated investment platforms, and Nathan brings deep private funds structuring and formation experience. Together, they further strengthen our ability to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice and services to our clients across the entire investment management community.”

Kalb noted: “I've spent much of my career building and supporting the legal and compliance infrastructure that enables fund managers to grow and operate efficiently in our highly regulated industry. Lowenstein's deep investment management practice, entrepreneurial spirit, and pragmatic approach to client service made the firm a natural fit for me.”

Calko stated: “Lowenstein's fund formation platform is one of the most active and well-respected in the market. I was drawn to the firm’s collaborative culture, sophisticated client base, and strong platform for private funds.”

Kalb received his J.D. from Cornell Law School and his B.A. in International Relations and Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Futures Association and has served on the Founder’s Council of the Managed Funds Association.
