Sarah advises clients on corporate finance, including asset-based lending and securitization matters. She represents both borrowers and lenders in structuring and closing the full array of complex structured finance transactions, including term and revolving facilities for various asset classes such as residential and commercial mortgage loans, home equity conversion mortgage loans (HECMs), mortgage servicing rights, servicing advances, tax liens, credit cards, auto loans, marketplace lending, and mortgage insurance. Sarah has also advised insurance companies in connection with the commutation of financial guaranty insurance policies and counseled bank-sponsored, asset-backed commercial paper conduits in transactions involving trade receivables, mortgage loans, and equipment leases.
Sarah has a facility for taking numerous complicated details and streamlining them into a viable transaction that minimizes risk for her clients. Prior to joining the firm, Sarah advised guarantors and insurers, including the Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae), on thousands of deals over the course of her career. She played an integral role in the development and expansion of the Ginnie Mae HREMIC, multifamily, single-family, callable, and platinum programs that comprise the Ginnie Mae Multiclass Securities program, and she routinely advises clients on matters relating to the Ginnie Mae mortgage-backed securities program.
