Jason represents corporate policyholders in disputes against insurance companies involving a wide array of insurance policies, including commercial liability, directors and officers liability, first-party property, professional liability/errors and omissions, employment practices liability, reps and warranties, and cyber risks. He advises clients on structuring their insurance programs to obtain the most favorable terms possible and to avoid common pitfalls in the event of a claim.
Prior to joining Lowenstein, Jason represented large public companies and private equity firms in buy-side and sell-side transactions and public filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He managed due diligence; negotiated agreements; and drafted written consents, engagement letters, payoff letters, escrow agreements, and other documents pertaining to mergers and acquisitions.
Jason brings to his work a broad perspective gained from his diverse experiences practicing M&A law at a leading Am Law 100 firm, teaching English and coaching soccer at a public high school in New Jersey, and volunteering around the world in countries such as Cameroon and Pakistan. Passionate about his pro bono work, he has handled divorce and immigration matters for several indigent, refugee, and asylee clients.
Jason served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Susan D. Wigenton of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Hon. Clayton Greene, Jr., of the Court of Appeals of Maryland.
