Gabriel has extensive experience in financial reorganization and corporate bankruptcy-related litigation. He provides counsel to creditors' committees, corporate debtors, securities class action plaintiffs, and trade creditors in a variety of complex restructuring matters in numerous jurisdictions.
A native of Puerto Rico, Gabriel is bilingual and has practiced law in Spanish. He currently serves as a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Puerto Rico Task Force, which monitors and comments on Puerto Rico's current fiscal crisis and post-Hurricane Maria reconstruction.
Committed to empowering young minority leaders, he served on the board of directors of the Puerto Rico chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA), and as an Attorney-Mentor for the New Jersey Law & Education Empowerment Project.
Prior to entering private practice, Gabriel was a law clerk for the Hon. Brian K. Tester of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico.
