In an article in Tax Notes Federal discussing the Biden administration’s likely approach to trade issues, Doreen M. Edelman says she does not foresee any immediate removal of section 301 tariffs against China in the near future: “I think … [President Biden is] … going to look at them. I don’t think he’s going to come in and immediately remove them in an executive order.” Regarding the ongoing dispute between the United States and the EU about Boeing-Airbus, Edelman state that “the administration will likely push for negotiations to get ‘back on track with the EU’ as part of a move toward multilateralism.”
