Craig Dashiell and 2019 summer associate Yelky Perez are featured in NJ.com and Chron's coverage of Perez’s establishment of a book scholarship for first-generation law students at Rutgers Law School. Perez discusses how her idea to provide funds to subsidize the purchase of law books for students in Rutgers’ Minority Student Program (MSP) became a reality with the support of the firm. Dashiell, a Rutgers alumnus and an MSP member like Perez, says, “The firm is supportive of these kinds of things. … It’s great when it comes organically from the bottom up instead of the top down. This was a junior attorney who wasn’t afraid to bring this idea to other people.’’ Close to $10,000 was raised to purchase 27 gift cards, each worth $350, for students to buy the books they needed.
