Christopher Porrino, partner and Chair of Lowenstein’s Litigation Department and former Attorney General of New Jersey, has been named by NJBIZ as its most influential member of the state’s legal profession in its 2022 Law Power 50

The publication notes that Porrino’s “ability to work across political affiliations has made him’ the man to see’ around here for a wide range of issues and sticky situations. “ After serving as Chief Counsel to Republican Governor Chris Christie, Porrino “was engaged almost immediately to assist the Democratic Murphy Administration in its most difficult challenges and continues in that role today.”

Special Counsel Elie Honig of the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense practice was ranked at number six out of 50. Prior to joining the firm, Honig served as Director of the Department of Law and Public Safety, New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice, where he directed major criminal cases against street gangs, drug trafficking organizations, illegal firearms traffickers, corrupt public officials, child predators, and white collar offenders.  He also worked for eight years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Honig currently serves as a CNN senior legal analyst as well as Executive Director of the Rutgers Institute for Secure Communities at Rutgers University.

NJBIZ observes that “Lowenstein sure looks like the place to be for powerful attorneys looking for a high-profile perch.”
