Arielle B. Adler, an associate in Lowenstein’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring Department, has been named to the 2021 Class of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) 40 Under 40 program, which recognizes emerging leaders in the insolvency profession who are committed to the highest standards of achievement at work and in their communities.

Adler’s practice focuses on corporate bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters, including bankruptcy and insolvency-related litigation. Her representations include the Official Committee of Tort Claimant Creditors in the Diocese of Camden’s (New Jersey) Chapter 11 proceeding; Hollister Construction Services, LLC in its Chapter 11 case; and the Official Committees of Unsecured Creditors in the Chapter 11 cases of Orchids Paper Products Company, One Aviation Corporation, and Mission Coal Company, LLC.

Adler’s pro bono practice includes managing the firm’s Name Change Project, which provides low-income transgender and nonbinary individuals with representation in legal name change proceedings, and representing low-income individuals seeking relief in Chapter 7 proceedings.

A frequent speaker on bankruptcy and insolvency issues and diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession, Adler holds a number of leadership positions within the New Jersey State Bar Association, including serving as Co-chair of its standing Diversity Committee, Immediate Past Chair of the LGBT Rights Section, and Treasurer of the Federal Practice and Procedure Section. She serves as Vice Chair of the Chapter 11 Practice Subcommittee of the Bankruptcy Committee of the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey. She is also an active member of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and serves on its Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee.

Adler received her J.D. from Boston College Law School and her B.A. from the University of Southern California.
