Senior Counsel

With 25 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, Karim consistently provides insightful counsel to a broad range of clients, from well-known entities in the financial sector to local, privately owned businesses in the luxury residential market. His ability to forge a strong connection with his clients, as well as with judges and juries, is a hallmark of his work.

A talented negotiator, Karim is known for his meticulous preparation, detail-oriented client relations, and his ability to assemble a spot-on Lowenstein Sandler team to tackle specific clients’ needs. Clients like Comcast and ADP have relied on Karim for his insight in complicated, sensitive matters such as contract violations and claims of discrimination.

For more than 15 years, Karim has been instrumental in supporting the firm’s extracurricular and pro bono activities. He coordinates Lowenstein Sandler’s participation in the Fresh Air Fund, a nonprofit that helps low-income New York City families give their children a summer camp experience. With respect to the firm’s pro bono program, Karim garnered national recognition as lead trial counsel in a landmark victory for same-sex parents.

Representative Engagements

Coordinating the litigation defense of a $150 million copyright claim brought against SNL Financial in NJ federal court.
Obtained the complete dismissal of several suits against Comcast alleging violations of public bidding laws for certain public school contracts for broadband services.
Serves as General Counsel and/or transition litigation counsel for many condominium associations from Maxwell Place and Hudson Tea in Hoboken to The Grand and Seapointe Village in Cape May County.
