William James Higley is a registered patent agent in Lowenstein Sandler’s Tech Group. William drafts and prosecutes patent applications on a wide range of technologies including wireless communication, medical diagnostic software, neural networks, internet gaming devices, computer imaging, magnetic levitation systems, medical devices, and microelectromechanical devices. He also advises inventors on patentable aspects of their inventions and advises clients on prosecution options.
William holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego. Prior to joining Lowenstein Sandler, William was a principal patent scientist and registered patent agent at Knobble Martens Olsen and Bear LLP. He previously taught wireless communication classes as an adjunct professor at National University and worked as a graduate research scientist at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
