Tony Chen is an associate in Lowenstein Sandler’s Tech Group. Tony focuses his practice on intellectual property matters including patent preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications, patent appeals, and support for patent litigation. Tony's areas of experience include multimedia, software, hardware, networking, distributed systems, databases, virtualization, telecommunications, electronics, Internet technologies, computer architecture, storage management software, storage hardware, wireless communications, and gaming technologies.
Prior to joining Lowenstein Sandler, Tony was a Summer Associate and Law Clerk at Blakely Sokoloff Taylor & Zafman LLP for almost a year, and worked as a Patent Scientist at Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear LLP for three years.
Before entering the legal field, Tony worked for Cisco Systems, Inc., as a software engineering intern for two and a half years, developing network management applications in JAVA. Tony has also worked for Qualcomm Inc., as a software engineer developing and testing firmware for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets.
