This inaugural event for STRIDES examined how business and the professions are losing intellectual capital as talented women leave, and what can be done to stem the tide. In attendance were women in-house counsel from companies such as Honeywell, Cendant Corp., Schering-Plough Corp., Merck & Co., Merrill Lynch Capital, and Pfizer. Speakers included current and former female executives, including H. Katherine White, Vice President and General Counsel of Sealed Air Corporation; Marguerite Sheehan, Senior Vice President of JPMorgan Chase and General Counsel of Chase Home Finance; and Betsy Bernard, former President of AT&T who serves on the boards of Bearing Point, URS, and Principal Financial Group. Mary Hildebrand and Christine Osvald-Mruz moderated.
