Lowenstein Sandler is sponsoring SIFMA's (Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association) Summit on the TARP program. This one-day summit will provide an in-depth discussion and analysis of TARP's expected impact, and discussions on the legal and regulatory issues raised by the program. Key topics will include: TARP's impact on the future of financial services, through the asset purchase and capital purchase programs; the program’s influence on secondary markets; accounting and capital issues, and a perspective from Capitol Hill.
Keynote speaker Neel Kashkari, Interim Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Stability and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for International Economics and Development, will highlight the major provisions of TARP and provide an update on the implementation of the program.
