Kristen focuses her practice on business and corporate matters, including advising entrepreneurial clients and venture fund investors at all stages of the business life cycle, from incorporation and expansion through exit. She has experience representing private and public companies on a range of transactional, securities law, and corporate governance matters, including venture equity and debt financings, strategic M&A transactions, public offerings, and securities law compliance.
Prior to joining the firm, Kristen worked as a law clerk at an early-stage online wholesale grocery retailer in New York, where she ensured compliance with trade name and trademark registration and beverage tax regulations. Her experience includes support for handling mass tort settlements involving multinational corporations and filing complaints for actions arising under the False Claims Act.
In law school, Kristen served on the leadership board for the Social Enterprise and Startup Law group (SE-SL) and participated in SE-SL’s Rising Tide program in partnership with Lowenstein to represent local New York and New Jersey entrepreneurs and small businesses. She continues to co-lead the Rising Tide program at the firm. Kristen also worked as a volunteer and liaison for the SE-SL alternative winter break trips to South Africa, Morocco, and Cambodia, where she helped connect local artisans who had developed sustainable business models with law students interested in innovative, scalable ideas for change.
