Daniel A. Suckerman represents a broad range of clients in diverse commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, financing, development, joint ventures, leasing, and matters relating to asset management. Dan’s practice is national in scope and crosses all asset classes, keeping him on top of commercial real estate trends and market forces.

Dan’s practice focuses on acquisitions and dispositions, with significant experience in industrial, data centers, multifamily, self-storage, and retail. Also among Dan’s areas of emphasis is leasing, covering both landlord and tenant clients, and all asset classes, including data centers, life sciences, industrial, office (with a particular focus on New York City), and retail.

Dan’s varied and broad-based expertise in commercial real estate allows him to appreciate the perspectives of all participants in a transaction, resulting in efficient, pragmatic, and creative ideas and solutions.

  • Represented Applied Digital Corporation in the pending sale of its 200-megawatt Bitcoin mining data center in Garden City, Texas to Marathon Digital Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: MARA) for $97.3 million. The Bitcoin mining data center is located adjacent to a wind farm and uses predominantly renewable energy.
  • Represented a leading national developer in connection with the joint venture acquisition and development of a 41-story mixed-use condominium tower on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. The 354,000 square foot tower will house 165 condominium units as well as classrooms, office space, and faculty housing.
  • Represented a private label beauty products developer and manufacturer in the $105 million sale and leaseback of a 218,000 square foot industrial building located in Long Island City, New York.
  • Represented a self-storage operator with acquisitions, joint ventures, and financings throughout the United States with an emphasis on the New York metro area, including a $100 million acquisition in Brooklyn, New York.
  • Represented an industrial equipment sales, rental, and repair company in a $60 million acquisition of its leased facility.
  • Represented a major food distribution company in the $40 million acquisition of a 13-acre vacant development site in Pennsylvania, including a development agreement for the development of a food distribution facility and internal lease structuring to take advantage of Qualified Opportunity Zone tax benefits.
  • Represented Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holding Corp. (Nasdaq: TNXP), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, in the acquisition of a new research and development facility.
  • Represented the landlord in connection with a complex lease transaction in Lower Manhattan with a not-for-profit K-12 private school, encompassing a “building within a building” condo regime of over 60,000 square feet and entailing specific requirements for real property tax exemptions available to not-for-profit entity tenants.
