Amanda Sewanan’s practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications involving a wide range of software and internet-related technologies, including virtualization and cloud computing. She also handles various prosecution matters, such as office actions and advisory actions, engaging in extensive communications with both patent examiners and clients.
Amanda’s pro bono work includes providing counseling to a nonprofit organization on IP matters, as well as litigating asylum and family separation cases.
A former Google Legal Summer Institute Scholar at Lowenstein’s Palo Alto office, Amanda’s background in computer science enables her to understand complex technologies and anticipate clients’ needs.
She is proficient in Spanish and Dutch.
