Lowenstein Sandler is representing its long-time client Buddy Media, Inc. in its sale to salesforce.com, inc. Buddy Media is a leading social media SAAS company with a roster of customers that includes 8 of the top 10 advertisers. Lowenstein partner Ethan Skerry commented, "our firm incorporated Buddy Media in 2007 and has acted as lead outside counsel to Buddy Media in numerous venture capital financings and acquisitions, so it is particularly exciting to be helping Buddy with what is being called one of New York's largest tech M&A deals." The sale, which is structured as a cash and stock merger, is expected to close in the third quarter of 2012.
