Lowenstein Sandler LLP announced today that Joseph J. DiPasquale, most recently a partner with Trenk, DiPasquale, Della Fera & Sodono, P.C., has joined the firm as a partner in the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Department. DiPasquale brings more than 20 years of experience in high-stakes insolvency proceedings.

“Joe has a strong reputation as a bankruptcy litigator with an impressive track record, and he has worked on several complex bankruptcy proceedings over the years,” said Kenneth A. Rosen, partner and Chair of Lowenstein’s bankruptcy department. “We have worked across the table from him for years, and we are thrilled to have him join our team.”

DiPasquale’s practice focuses on corporate restructuring, complex bankruptcy, debtor/creditor rights, corporate transactional matters, and commercial litigation. He has represented debtors, Chapter 11 and 7 trustees, receivers, assignees, creditors’ committees, equity holders, secured creditors, private equity firms, and hedge funds.

His representation has included serving as lead bankruptcy counsel of unsecured creditors in the Chapter 11 proceedings of Mountain Creek Resorts, Inc., and as lead special litigation counsel for retailer Dots, LLC, in Chapter 11 proceedings to pursue and litigate hundreds of preference actions.

“I’m excited to join a national law firm like Lowenstein Sandler, which has been a major player in the bankruptcy space for years,” DiPasquale said. “My new colleagues have advised clients in significant matters, and I’m eager to join a platform that complements my experience and background.”

DiPasquale received his J.D. from the Widener University Commonwealth Law School and his B.A. from Muhlenberg College. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern District of New York, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the District of Columbia Circuit.
