John F. Basiak, Jr. is an associate in the firm's Litigation Department and Securities Litigation Practice Group.
Mr. Basiak focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, including representation of private equity and financial services companies in matters involving breach of contract and common law fraud. His recent successes include obtaining the dismissal of a suit brought by a student alleging discrimination, fraud and breach of contract against an online university.
In addition to his commercial and securities law practice, Mr. Basiak represents individuals on a pro bono basis in cases implicating important public policy issues. He also writes extensively on constitutional law, publishing law review articles in the Whittier Law Review, the Widener Law Journal and the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy.
Prior to joining Lowenstein Sandler, Mr. Basiak served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Neil H. Shuster, P.J.Ch., Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, General Equity Part.
