John W. Bartlett is Counsel to the firm’s Litigation Department, where he focuses his practice on complex commercial cases and criminal defense matters. He also advises clients on compliance with state and federal campaign finance and election laws, including New Jersey’s “pay-to-play” restrictions.
Mr. Bartlett returned to Lowenstein Sandler in 2007 after serving as Legal and Policy Counsel at the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice in Newark, New Jersey. While at the Institute, he worked on amicus cases in the New Jersey Supreme Court and Appellate Division, and on a variety of state and municipal legislative initiatives.
Prior to his career in law, Mr. Bartlett served as Communications Director for Fight Crime: Invest in Kids in Washington, D.C.; was a reporter for the Associated Press in Jerusalem, Israel; and worked on the successful U.S. Senate campaign of then-Congressman Jack Reed of Rhode Island.
