Joseph Jean will present on the topic "Bad Faith and Summary Judgment: When is Summary Judgment Appropriate on an Insured's Bad Faith Claim?" at the American Bar Association's Insurance Coverage Litigation CLE Seminar. Other topics will include insurance coverage for new and evolving manifestations of climate change and related natural disasters (man-made and otherwise) such as the Gulf of Mexico oil spill; a candid insiders' look at the strengths and weaknesses of arbitration as a medium for resolving insurance and reinsurance disputes; the strategic considerations bearing on the settlement of complex coverage disputes; and the emerging issues and coverage questions presented by 'cyber'-risks in the areas of privacy and data security.
