Robert Chesler will speak on the panel "The Impact of the Food Safety Modernization Act on Insurance Law," for the Insurance Law Section meeting of the New Jersey State Bar Association. The panel will focus on the substantial new liabilities arising from recalls, false advertising and claims of contamination that the food industry faces. The Food Safety and Modernization Act will substantially increase these exposures, particularly with respect to recalls. This seminar will examine these liabilities, the coverage issues that they raise, and the new insurance products that are being developed to meet them.
