Eric Chafetz is Counsel to Lowenstein Sandler’s Bankruptcy, Financial Reorganization & Creditors’ Rights Department. Mr. Chafetz focuses his practice on numerous aspects of bankruptcy law, including the prosecution and defense of preference actions, various aspects of the claims resolution process, drafting pleadings, and writing and responding to motions addressing numerous issues. He also researches and composes memoranda of law on various bankruptcy issues including setoffs, substantive consolidation, use of cash collateral, third-party releases, plan confirmation issues and preference and fraudulent transfer issues.
Prior to joining Lowenstein Sandler, Mr. Chafetz was an Associate at Togut, Segal & Segal in New York City where he represented Collins & Aikman, Chrysler Automotive, General Motors and SemGroup.
